About Me

Buying or selling a home is rarely simple – and it shouldn’t be rushed. I bring a steady, experienced approach to real estate, shaped by decades of leadership in complex environments and a belief that good decisions come from clarity, patience, and honest advice.

Before entering real estate, I spent over 30 years with a large steel manufacturer in the Hamilton area, holding leadership roles across finance, operations, and management. Working in a complex organization taught me the value of planning, accountability, and clear decision-making – skills that now form the foundation of my real estate practice.

My move into real estate was a thoughtful transition, not a leap. A close friend and brokerage owner encouraged me to make the change after recognizing that my temperament and analytical approach were well suited to the work. I began part-time, earned my broker’s license, and built my business steadily. After several years with his brokerage, I joined Royal LePage.

Today, I work with clients across Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Ancaster, and well beyond – often within a few hours of home base - including cottage country and Muskoka where I have the opportunity to spend some time. My clients include relocating professionals, downsizers, and retirees, and many of my transactions involve complex decisions rather than quick sales.

Growing up in Southern Ontario and building a career across multiple communities has given me a clear-eyed view of where people truly get value – not just what looks good on paper. That perspective is especially important for clients weighing major lifestyle changes or considering markets outside their immediate area.

What clients value most is my patience and honesty. I’m not afraid to nudge someone to rethink a purchase if it doesn’t truly serve their needs. I’ve guided international buyers through major relocation decisions and supported retirees through multi-year searches – staying the course until the right solution was clear.

I’m known for going the extra mile, whether that means coordinating logistics, handling unexpected tasks, or stepping in when help is needed – including rolling up my sleeves when necessary. My goal is simple: to help clients make confident, informed decisions – and feel good about them long after the transaction is complete.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me in a sporting environment. I play competitive tennis, compete in age-bracket tournaments, and was ranked fourth in Ontario at age 35. I also enjoy golf, cycling and keeping fit with strength training. I’m a lifelong dog lover - my wife Lyn and I share our home with a Boston Terrier, Beau.

If you want clear advice, thoughtful guidance, and someone who will put your interests ahead of a quick outcome, I’d be happy to talk about how I can help - whether you’re ready to move now or still weighing your options.
